As part of its emergency assistance work, Reporters Without Borders provides administrative and financial support to threatened media professionals from around the world who are subject to repression or persecution because of their reporting. The focus of our support consists of local assistance. However, we also advocate for journalists who have had to leave their home countries because of acute threats. Our goal is to ensure that they are protected from persecution and can continue or resume their journalistic work in the long term.
